MEF awards Washington D.C. Scholarships to four 8th graders at Mokena Junior High  

MEF awards a $12,500 matching grant, alongside the Timken Foundation, toward Collaborative Learning Centers in the Mokena schools  

The Mokena Educational Foundation (MEF) was founded in 1996 to serve as a fundraising vehicle for the Mokena School District 159.  Funding through MEF supports academic initiatives and enrichment of programs, activities and facilities for the students of our schools. MEF is a nonprofit 501 © 3 organization.  ​

MEF awards three scholarships to Lincoln Way East college bound seniors at LWE Annual Awards Night  

6th Annual Fall Fling

Together, Mokena Educational Foundation (MEF) and Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and volunteers from the Mokena159 school district plan an adult night out to benefit the students of our schools.  This is our ANNUAL FUNDRAISER.  There are tickets to purchase for the event which include appetizers, buffet dinner, silent auction, entertainment and much more!  Join us!   


Big thanks to all our Mokena159 volunteers that work super hard by contributing their time whether picking up checks/auction items, making deposits, maintaining spreadsheets and keeping it all straight... we also thank our sponsors and all the auction items donated.  This event could not happen without all of these hard-working people.  THANK YOU!

At Mokena Public Schools, students are the first priority. 
It is the policy of MEF to make distributions for the following educational purposes:
Promote the introduction of new concepts, materials,
methodologies, and/or technology in the schools
Promote innovative ideas and academically enriching programs 

Assist teaching and support staff in the fulfillment of the
respective functions

Provide or supplement services, materials, equipment and/or

Improve facilities pertaining to academics, through
construction, renovation, reconstruction or modification
